Mark your calendar for Thursday, November 6 from 6 to 9 pm at Flatiron, where Downriver Records is honored to present a solo spotlight on Michelle Malone—a veteran of American roots music whose career spans over three decades. Raised in Atlanta and steeped in musical tradition from childhood, Malone first sang in church choirs at age four and taught herself multiple instruments by early adolescence. Through her bold fusion of roadhouse rock, blues, folk, and country-soul, she’s released more than a dozen albums, founded her own label, toured internationally, and remained fiercely independent in her artistic vision.
