About the event
VisArt Video (commonly called VisArt) nonprofit cultural hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, best known for preserving and sharing one of the largest collections of films and videos on the East Coast (about 50,000 titles) and celebrating the art of cinema through rentals, screenings, and community events.
At its heart, VisArt is about community, storytelling, and creative experiences. It’s more than a video rental space — it includes a cozy café, a small theater/screening room, and event spaces where people gather for film nights, discussions, and other arts experiences.
Music: While VisArt’s primary focus is film and cinema, it hosts music-related events and live performances as part of its programming — including jazz jams, live music nights, listening room-style performances, and music-and-film series — blending music with visual storytelling and community arts.
